Apple is reportedly working on developing a robo-roommate, still in the research and development phase. Additionally, the company has also created an “advanced table-top home device that uses robotics to move a display around,” resembling a “responsive” TV screen. These developments are taking place within Apple’s hardware engineering division in collaboration with its machine-learning group. The household robotics market has seen limited success, with the Roomba being a notable exception.
Amazon’s attempt with its underwhelming Astro in 2021 received a subdued response. The question now arises whether Apple will succeed where Amazon has fallen short. It remains to be seen if Apple, known for its stunning product lines, can overcome recent missteps and achieve success in this venture. Only time will reveal the outcome.
